Firewire issues?

Okay.. I've been using a external HD for my files.. and I was using it at school.. came home and now my MBP won't pick up the drive?? could it be dead?? or could my firewire port have gotten fried somehow?? :confused: It's always worked fine on my MBP and it always has picked it up.. but at the moment it isn't... :(

well i got it working.. I had to reboot my MBP... it's awkward, because I've never had this issue before.... I guess I should reboot more often, rather that putting it to sleep most of the times...

Yes I had this issue myself. I did just used FW400 then them switched back to FW800.
