It's hard to beat a DVI->HDMI cable for less than $5. I have dealt with monoprice a dozen or so times and have never been left wanting.

Click to expand... Okay, that's useful to know, but I can always connect up my MBP to my audio amplifier using a 3.5mm->dual RCA cable

As you said earlier, you won't go too far wrong on eBay. I got a great DVI -> HDMI cable for my MB very cheap. 🙂
