Hi guys.

I've got this shiny new Macbook Pro. I've also got an ipod touch. No problems or concerns there.

But I've also got an old 3g ipod. Its got a firewire cord. I remember that there were some documented issues using this old ipod with newer firewire macs.

Is this true?

I could always use the usb cable that came with the touch, but this particular generation of ipod doesnt charge if connected via a usb cable.

Advice??

Thanks,

Don

It should run just fine off the FW. I have a 40GB black and white iPod, no clickwheel, four touch buttons in a row under the screen and I plug it in via FW to my 24" Al iMac.
