Hi, I am looking to buy a G5 and heard that there were a lot of problems with digital audio and the G5. Anyone know about this?

I use the G5's optical audio output without problems

If you mean studio stuff, your best bet is to go to the BBS for whatever program and hardware you use and ask there.
