I'm a student of Japanese, and let me tell you, typing foreign languages on a Mac is above and beyond easy compared to Windows. However, I'm having one pressing problem -

When we romanize Japanese words, occasionally I have to type extended vowels, usually symbolized as an "o" with a line above it called a macron.

I have searched and searched and I cannot find where or how to type a macron. It should be there in Unicode, shouldn't it?

I'm totally baffled.
