I'm considering buying Coolbook, but it would not be for heating issues, but rather for the possibility of extending battery life. I could be wrong, but I thought the idea of the C2Duo was that the CPU could be throttled depending on system load - where shutting down one core is just the extreme case of the above.

If this is true then is Coolbook redundant and possibly even harmful? I mean if the processor clock & core usage is matched to workload by default, wouldn't undervolting it actually hurt performance?

Also, if anyone has purchased Coolbook and has any comments related to it, I'd be very grateful!
