What are the top ten most played songs played from your music library? Here are mine:

1. When You Say Nothing At All (Alison Krauss)
My wife plays this song every morning. For a while she would stop it before it would count it so I wouldn't poke fun at her listening to one song out of the 7500 we own all the time.

2. Always on My Mind (Willie Nelson) Is there a better song?

3. War on War (Wilco) This whole album has the highest average play time on my iTunes.

4. Bonus Beats (Beck) Remix of Where It's At. Awesome single.

5. Sam Hall (Johnny Cash) This song just trips me out with how irreverent, rebellious and humorous it is.

6. Billie Jean (Michael Jackson) I got this from iTMS and haven't burned it on a CD, so it gets played mostly on the computer (that's my excuse.)

7. Jesus, Etc. (Wilco) Another great tune from the same album

8. Mister Garfield (Johnny Cash) "It WAS the report of a pistol..."

9. Train In Vain (The Clash) Dwight Yoakam of all people did this song. It's pretty cool on the original.

10. Frankie and Albert (Chris Smither) From the tribute to Mississippi John Hurt album that also has Beck and Taj Mahal playing on it. This is one of the most sublime blues performances on record that I have.

1. Bubble Toes by Jack Johnson - Haven't listened to it in a while, but I used to listen to it on repeat when it first came out.
2. Save Me by Aimee Mann - Great song, my girlfriend loves it.
3. Tantrum by Mrs. Children - Another great song, by a band most people haven't heard of. Visit their site at http://www.mrschildren.com/ -- I think you can even download this song there.
4. Don't Drop Dead by Jill Sobule
5. Haley by The Carolines - A great band from Portland
6. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel - the first song I learned how to play on the guitar.
7. Psycho Street by Richard Thompson - the ultimate in creepsville.
8. Terrible Vision by Rhett Miller
9. All Work and No Play by Van Morrison
10. Rodeo Clowns by G. Love & Special Sauce with Jack Johnson - one of the first quasi-hip-hop songs that finally got me to give hip-hop a chance.

Correction: Tantrum is only available as a streaming song from mrschildren.com. Sorry about that. Still, it's well worth it to just buy the damn song.

Yeah, that's part of the point of it. I listen most often to stuff on MP3 that I don't always listen to on CD since its on a single or something. My favorite stuff (like From the Cradle) gets played ad infinitum on CD.

The way I know highest average is because it took me 7 months to listen to every mp3 i have (so 80% of the songs have a playcount of 1). Wilco is the only album with every song above a playcount of three. It would be cool if iTunes automatically did such things.

The following shall be the current top played in ym iTunes library. However, once, I decided to add different versions (i.e. radio edits, extended single version, live version, and similar remixes), and by doing that, my entire top 10 was almost all New Order songs, with "Bizarre Love Triangle" being #1 by at least 30 plays :)

Current list:

1. "Emerge" by Fischerspooner - 41 plays - How in the world this song got that many plays is beyond me, as I wouldn't rank it as one of my all time favorites. I think it came up a lot on random mode.

2. "Why Can't I Be You" by The Cure - 36 plays

3. "Strangelove" by Depeche Mode - 33 plays - Not really anywher near my favorite DM song, but oh well.

4. "The 15th" by Fischerspooner - 31 plays
4. "Sub-culture" (album version) by New Order - 31 plays

5. "Bachelorette" (album version) by Bjrk - 30 plays
5. "Pluto" (album version) by Bjrk - 30 plays
5. "Let the Poison Spill From Your Throat" by The Faint - 30 plays

6. "Close to Me" by The Cure - 29 plays
6. "Home" by Depeche Mode - 29 plays
6. "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode - 29 plays
6. "Renai Revolution 21" by Morning Musume - 29 plays (and the most hilarious song EVER)
6. "World" (Perfecto Mix) by New Order - 29 plays
6. "Confusion" ("Substance 1987" version) by New Order - 29 plays
6. "Perfect Kiss" by New Order (12" version) - 29 plays
6. "Bizarre Love Traingle" by New Order (12" version) - 29 plays
6. "Koufukuron" by Shiina Ringo - 29 plays

...and while that may not actually be a "top 10" list, I've included 17 songs already with all the ties, so I think I'll stop now.

Its The Aampirellas - Wasted for me which has 9 plays. They are a little punk Band out of my home town and just released their debut album after a couple of promising demos and Ep's.

Its also tied with Good luck - Basement Jaxx featuring the vocals of Lisa Kekaula and is off their brand new album Kish Kash.

The last tied song is Missy Higgins - All For Believing. She is 19, a very young, beautiful and talented Australian artist. I see big things for Missy, and her EP is one of the best things to have been played on my mac since I brought it a few months ago!

I listen to a lot of them while I sleep so a lot are quiet.

I don't know why the Sisters of Mercy are on the list. I barely listen to them now because they are a - holes.

Here is my updated top ten (My original is from november or december, and on page one)

1) Two Points for Honesty - Guster (47)
2) Great Escape - Guster (43)
3) Clocks - Coldplay (42)
4) That was a Crazy Game of Poker - O.A.R. (36)
5) (Tie) Barrel of a Gun - Guster (31)
Demons - Guster (31)
7) Amsterdam - Guster (28)
8) Careful - Guster (24)
9) The General - Dispatch (22)
10) (Tie) My Name is Jonas - Weezer (13)

Its pretty much all alternative. Except for the last one. I don't know what genre I'd classify that as.

O.K. here's the updated top listened to songs from the reset playcount on the iPod.

"There Goes The Fear" The Doves (X7)
"Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell" The Flaming Lips (X6)
"Get Real Paid" Beck (X5)
"Orange Blossom Special" Johnny Cash (X5)
"Country Boy" Johnny Cash (X4)
"I Feel For You" Chakha Khan (X4)
"Bye & Bye" Bob Dylan (X4)
"Djobi Djoba" Gipsy Kings (X4)
"The Thin Ice" Pink Floyd (X4)

and then there's about 50 songs at 3 count, some of the recent favorites:

"Chartsengrafs" Grandaddy
"Crossroads" Cream (I've probably played this song 1000 times!)
"You're My Baby (Little Woolly Booger)" Johnny Cash
"Beep Beep Love" The Incredible Moses Leroy

By the way, I just got the new Guster Cd "Keep it Together" and I like it alot...

also, I saw Beck live when he had the flaming lips as the backing band and they did a totally funked out version of "Debrah" with changed lyrics and everything. Very cool, I wish they'd release a live set. I did record the PBS special they did on Austin City Limits, but I'd much rather have a CD.

Ok, here goes:

1) Silent to The Dark II - The Electric Soft Parade
2) Lost Cause - Beck
3) Sensitive Euro Man - Pavement
4) Beautiful Way - Beck
5) Dub Latina - Calexico
6) We Dance - Pavement
7) Father to a Sister of Thought - Pavement
8) Any Major Dude Will Tell You - Wilco
9) Spit on a Stranger - Pavement
10) Scatterbrain - Radiohead

... and did I mention I love Pavement? :D

I still use CD's most to listen to songs so the count is not faitfhul.

(There is also an "Overprotected - Britney Spears" at number 23, how did it get there?? ;) )

Tsk, some people are never happy! :p

I have a live mp3 version of Debra, but it's not the one you're looking for. It says 1996, I don't know where from, but the lyrics are not changed and it's only Beck and his band singing (I think).

I also have two other live Beck songs in my Tunes playlist - a very nice version of Deadweight, and the Velvet cover he sang with Thom Yorke, "I'm Set Free". I wish I could say, "I was there when they played it!" but nah. Grr. :D

What PBS special is it?

Well, if I don't count the (many) songs that are at the top of the list only because they're so bland they dominate my "white noise for reading and sleeping" playlists...

1. Unsung -- Vanessa Carlton
2. Put Out the Lights -- Oysterband
3. Enemy -- Days of the New
3. Faithfully Dangerous -- Over the Rhine
5. Funeral in His Heart -- October Project
7. I Wanna Be Sedated -- The Ramones
7. This Darkest Winter -- Runrig
7. I'm Still Here -- Vertical Horizon
9. Pretty Maid Milking a Cow -- Brigid's Brood
10. Tolkien (Hobbit and Lord of the Rings Remix) -- Brobdingnagian Bards

Blade's "Vampire Dance Club" probably ought to be in there too, except that I usually switch it off before the end.

What's the most played song in your iTunes library?
My #1 is No Doubt-It's My Life (161).
and #2 is You're So Foxy by also No Doubt (134).
I would like to say that once iTunes 4 came along, I re-encoded my entire library to AAC not realizing the play counts don't carry over, so it might be inaccurate.
I'm interested to see how many times people listen to one song. :)

In order:
Hatebreed - "I Will Be Heard"
Against Me! - "Walking is Still Honest"
Dire Straits - "Walk of Life"
Bowling for Soup - "Girl All the Bad Guys Want"
The Cars - "You Might Think"
Hot Water Music - "Difference Engine"
Theatre of Tragedy - "Angelique"
Alkaline Trio - "Armageddon"
The Cure - "Boys Don't Cry"
Belle and Sebastian - "Judy and the Dream of Horses"
Anti-Flag - "Seattle Was a Riot"
The Dandy Warhols - "Nietzsche"
Johnny Cash - "I'm on Fire"
Leonard Cohen - "Hallelujah"

This is all since a rebuild of my library after a preference corruption, some four months ago. I imagine that my playcounts would look a bit different if they ran back three years like they used to.

There's also the small matter of having about 5,000 songs to listen to.

You should join musicmobs (as should the rest of you) and provide the link so we can really scrutinize the music you own. Then we can view these songs and link straight to itunes (it will list your top songs in order and you can remove songs from the list if your embarrased by listening to britney spears so many times  )

It's really easy, check it out!

I have one problem with all those sites: They only use the main iTunes library XML file, but my rankings come off of my iPod, because thats where all my good music is. My parents are divorced, so when I switch houses, I just bring my iPod and my music remains with me. Also, that way whenever I listen to music it gets added to the playcounts. Unfortunately, in my experience you cannot get the iPod library XML. So, I would, but I can't :(

Hold on there, cowboy, I just want to find out cool new music based upon the libraries of people who are listening to stuff I like. I spent some time checking out a guys great music collection that I saw on audioscrobbler and am thinking about getting some Mark Knopfler! Check it out:

Now, if his top artist was Britney Spears, I probably would not have scrutinized his collection to see what else he was listening to. ;)

I just recently turned on the autosynching option on the iPod, so that it automatically summarizes all playcounts on the iPod+Computer and updates the playcounts in each to the total number. Unless your parents are listening to stuff that doesn't represent your music tastes, then this could work for you.

1. Speedway at Nazareth by Mark Knopfler
Played 350+ times since 23 March and haven't burned out yet.

2. Why Me? by the Planet P Project
First heard an iTunes radio station last year and had to scramble to get the CD. Very obscure group from Germany?

3. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
What more is there to say?

4. Shine on You Crazy Diamond (the ECHOES version) - Pink Floyd
Unfortunately, Gilmour's slide is shortened.

5. Us and Them - Pink Floyd
A classic from DARK SIDE...

6. Brain Damage/Eclipse - Pink Floyd
More from the DARK SIDE...

7. Sailing to Philadelphia - Mark Knopfler w/ James Taylor
Mellow is an understatement

8. Peacekeeper - Fleetwood Mac
A rocker from SAY YOU WILL, their latest

9. Why Aye Man - Mark Knopfler
Up tempo from THE RAGPICKER'S DREAM. Good Knopfler guitar work

10. Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
What can I say? I'm a Pink Floyd fan!

Jack Johnson is the best !

1. The Duffman theme from the Simpsons, one of my shorter songs.
2. Californication, good song for any time of day.
3. The Matrix Main Title, not sure how it made #3 I guess I listen to it a lot.
4. Cars, a classic yet odd song, it has been ruined by far to many car ads.
5. Purple Haze, Jimi Hendrix is the man;)
6. Furious Angels, Matrix again, I love instrumentals
7. Chateau, More Matrix, best instrumental from the movie in my opinion
8. Can't Touch This, MC Hammer is the man;)
9. Mr. Roboto, I belong to a robotics team, its the perfect theme song
10. Mona Lisa Overdrive, its amazing that i have listened to this 10 minute song 26 times! Thats 4 1/3 hours!

I just reset my damn playcount for the second time since August. Luckily, I was able to use Backup to restore everything to their Febraury values. I consider that alone to have made .mac a worthwhile $70. So my playcounts are way down and not really valid:

1. Dear Catastrophe Waitress (Belle & Sebastian) 26
2. Don't Talk, Just Kiss (Wedding Present) 26
3. You're Song (Cranebuilders) 25
4. Happy Jack (monanco) 24
5. Left to My Own Devices (Pet Shop Boys) 24
6. Babies (Pulp) 24

1. Unsung -- Vanessa Carlton

That's one of my favourites from Be Not Nobody. I picked up Harmonium today, and it's even better :D (and I've only listened to the first 4 songs! It's very rare for me to 'fall in love' with an album on first listen)

This play count would be more with "Speedway..." up over 1000 plays since March 23rd but on May the 18th, I accidentally dumped my entire music library! I managed to find a back-up but it was 2 months old.

You don't see any Delerium on this list because up until I had never heard of them. Come back in a couple of months and a few Delerium trax are bound to show.

I can't use iTunes stats because I tend to wipe it every once in a while because all my files have moved! -- from memory:

1. Something I left behind, or perhaps Diminish me, by Imperative Reaction
2. Asteroid by Killing Joke
3. Smothered hope by Skinny Puppy (live, Ministry w/Ogre)
4. Classified, by Tankt
5. No Good, by the Prodigy

Overall, give or take. I get sick of music easily, so I tend to have a very, very large playlist on rotation.

I never finish a song, I just listen to about 1/3 or 1/2 and then I switch... there should be an option for iTunes to count the total play time, or times played incompletely - as opposed to the current count by times played completely.

My list is a bit skewed. When I got my new iPod I deleted my MP3s and re-compressed them from the lossless file to AAC so only my purchased songs have the highest plays at the moment.

1) The Click by Good Charlotte (Theme from Undergrads)
2) That's the way it is by Celine Dion
3) Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads
4) I Drove All Night by Celine Dion
5) Ballroom Blitz by Sweet
6) Let the Day Begin by The Call
7) God is a DJ by Pink
8) Fear of Bliss by Alanis Morrisette
9) A Praise Chorus by Jimmy Eat World
10) Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo

If the list wasn't borked I'm sure 'Elephant Melody' and 'Come What May' from Moulin Rouge would be in the top 10.

Right now those songs are in the 30 - 40 times played while then my next bunch is in the 1 - 5 range since I just put 25GB of stuff on the new iPod in July.

Here are mine with the Album and playcount. I accidentally dumped my music library back in May. At that time, "Speedway..." was up to 490+!!!

This will probably change as I listen to more and more Delerium and the Afro Celts.

Look for "A Poem for Byzantium" by Delerium to show up soon. It's on my iPod, too so it gets extra play while I'm outside smoking or just annoying people or just driving to and from someplace.

Hold on there, cowboy, I just want to find out cool new music based upon the libraries of people who are listening to stuff I like. I spent some time checking out a guys great music collection that I saw on audioscrobbler and am thinking about getting some Mark Knopfler! Check it out:

http://www.musicmobs.com/user.php?userId=3389

Now, if his top artist was Britney Spears, I probably would not have scrutinized his collection to see what else he was listening to. ;)

Last night, I almost deleted all of my Delerium (3600+ plays), Mark Knopfler (3300+ plays), Conjure One (800+ plays), Afro Celts and Sarah McLachlin so my MusicMobs profile doesn't accurately reflect what I've been listening to lately. The play counts for the above were lost, however. Thank God Pink Floyd wasn't selected!

And in agreeing with the post by user jbembe, if it hadn't been for these sites where I can scrutinize some of the music other people listen to, I wouldn't be listening to artists like Delerium, Conjure One, Sarah McLachlin, The Afro Celt Sound System, Bruce Cockburn and the Drive-By Truckers, Hooverphonic and Bjork. And that's just to name a few!

Before July, I had never heard of the aforementioned artists or groups!

Sites like this one, Music Mobs, Audio Scrobbler (when its up), Music Plasma (for comparisons), All Music Guide and iTunes (for the sound bites) have gone a long way in helping me get new and different music.

i'm really weird when it comes to music. i started this morning off listening to dixie chics. :D

I love that song too :D, although it isn't in my top 10 by playcount.

Here is mine:

The Used - I Caught Fire (90)
Evanescence - My Immortal (Band Version) (69)
Hope 7 - Breakthrough (67)
2Pac - Still Ballin' (Nitty Remix, feat. Trick Daddy) (62)
The Used - Buried Myself Alive (62)
My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay (I Promise) (59)
Sisters of Mercy - When You Don't See Me (54)
Fabolous - Into You (52)
City High - What Would You Do? (49)
The Used - Alone This Holiday (48)

BTW, I have a smart playlist that's my top played songs that I haven't listened to in the past two weeks. Kinda like an old favs list. Anyone know of a bright way to make a smart playlist that captures up-and-comings -- the songs that have been moving up your playcount list?

Well I had to nuke my iTunes library a couple of days ago, so my top played song is: "I want my ****", by ICP, with a whopping playcount of 2!

Audioscrobbler (http://audioscrobbler.com/user/br_ap) has been taking most of my plays for the past 6 months, but it's still not shook out properly, as my hideously distorted top 5 shows...

1 Implant - Gateway (Displacer Remix) 13
1 Kraftwerk - The Robots 13
3 Kramm - Fiebertraum 12
3 Kramm - Coeur 12
5 Kraftwerk - Computer Love 11

Yeah, but it never gets OLD!! What's more interesting than knowing that your top played song since Nov 2003 is WBBB? :D :D

Well, I have a playlist (CD size, ~74 min) which is called A-list, which I play way more than any other playlists. Whenever I grow tired of a song or "discover" a new one, I ditch the most boring one (or move it to one of he secondary playlists), and WBBB just keeps surviving... I have no control over it... :p

Edit: And by-the-way, Toyah on 4th place was added to the library November 4th 2004, and have been played 140 times in ~4 months, and "Haakon den Fete" has acheived its count since Nov 30th 2004 (which shows the how much it means to be A-listed... ;)

Edit2: This is the contents of my A-list at the moment (which is what I play 3+ times every day...) with playcount:

Just Another Girl - Alison Gordy (with Blonde and Blue) - 42
Banana Republic - The Boomtown Rats - 103
For Tinkerbell - Catatonia - 78
If I Was With A Woman - Cerys Matthews from Catatonia and The Blockheads - 42
Edie (Ciao Baby) - The Cult - 122
It's My Party - Dave Stewart And Barbara Gaskin - 30
Trist Historie - Dum Dum Boys - 90
Haakon Den Fete - Elektrisk Regn - 93
Kinosangen - Gartnerlosjen - 51
Heldiggrisene - Gartnerlosjen - 79
Knut liten og Sylvelin - Gte - 5 (+ 1 since this played on my iPod just now ;))
I Quit - Hepburn - 117
Happy Together - The Jam - 100
Nothing But You - Kim Ferron - 119
Vengeance - New Model Army - 63
Where The Wild Roses Grow - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds + Kylie Minogue - 73
Wave Of Mutilation (U.K. Surf) - Pixies - 87
Wynona's Big Brown Beaver - Primus - 168
Martian Cowboy - Toyah - 140

Six Days by DJ Shadow and Mos Def
The Rage Of Angels by Jedi Mind Tricks
Before The Great Collapse by Jedi Mind Tricks
Go To Sleep by Eminem
Army Of The Pharaohs by Jedi Mind Tricks
Arsonists by Jedi Mind Tricks
Intro by Jedi Mind Tricks
Touch Me by Various Artists
Bin Laden by Mos Def
March Of Death by DJ Shadow

And WTF! I swear iTunes has got it wrong. Maybe that's the problem with leaving iTunes running while I focus on more necessary tasks (like work sometimes) because I swear I haven't heard heaps of these! :D

Another Finn Brothers fan! You rock! :) I saw them about a month ago in DC for the fourth time in a year. They were excellent (as usual).

I don't think my top 10 has changed that much -- it's still controlled by my favorite band:

10. Love This Life - Crowded House (405)
9. Catherine Wheels - Crowded House (408)
8. Now We're Getting Somewhere - Crowded House (411)
7. Walking on the Spot - Crowded House (418)
6. How Will You Go - Crowded House (426)
5. In the Lowlands - Crowded House (438)
4. Whispers and Moans - Crowded House (442)
2. Nails in My Feet - Crowded House (464)
2. Don't Dream It's Over - Crowded House (464)
1. Don't Dream It's Over (1996 Remix) - Crowded House (774)

My top-played song from someone other than Crowded House is "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye (392) at #14.

I have seriously high playcounts, as I listen to music all the time. Seriously.

So, here goes:

1. Orbital - Belfast (578 plays). The closest thing in music to perfection.
2. Nightmares on Wax - Playtime (John McEntire Remix) (576 plays). Very very very nice chilled out mix of the dreadful Playtime.
3. Alcatraz - Giv Me Luv (415 plays). I have no idea why this ranks so highly. It isn't even that good.
4. Aphex Twin - Alberto Balsalm (368 plays). Lovely track from the mad musician.
5. Underworld - Kittens (316 plays). Exciting and driving track, very good for motivational purposes.
6. Blank and Jones - Counting Clouds (296 plays). The second closest thing in music to perfection.
7. Underworld - Tin There (edit) (286 plays). Reminds me of Wipeout 2097. To coin the game's catchphrase, it's an accelerated adrenalin rush for future people. Almost ten years on, and it still has the same effect. Awesome stuff.
8. Prince - Kiss (267 plays). I really shouldn't like this. But I really can't help it.
9. New Order - Regret (Fire Island Remix) (255 plays). Gorgeously smooth remix of the New Order classic.
10. New Order - 1963 (230 plays). The B-Side to True Faith, but far better. It's the only song that - without fail - I sing along to from start to end. Doing so as I type - typing and singing is seriously difficult I'll have you know.

Belfast merits the number one slot - I think it's probably my favourite ever song.

I love the Undertones, but I didn't really get into Feargal's solo stuff. I bought a couple of his LP's used at a thirft store and it didn't really do anything for me. Great band though; also, wasn't "teenage kicks" the favorite song of the recently deceased John Peel?

But I've not listen much to the most played lists lately, but rather listened to lots of music with low playcount and/or no rating (rating them while listening), so my Recently Played list, containing one listing of songs played in the last two weeks (no matter how many times each song is actually played) has 1494 songs on it... :)

My word, this thread has been revived! Well, I suppose I'll put up my updated list, though it's basically made up of 1 band :D

Looking at it now, it's sorta pathetic, but whatever :)

1) Two Points for Honesty - Guster - 109

3) Clocks - Coldplay - 81
3) Demons - Guster - 81
5) Barrel of a Gun - Guster - 76
6) Eden - Guster - 71
7) Amsterdam - Guster - 67
7) Parachute - Guster - 67
9) That was a Crazy Game of Poker - O.A.R. - 62
10) Careful - Guster - 61

Wow, that's rather depressing... Well, the song I've logged the most hours listening to is without a doubt Crazy Game of Poker... It's 8:42 minutes and I've listened to it 62 times, for a total of about 9 hours.

My actual favorite song probably ever is Parachute, but Two Points for Honesty would probably be two.

This list isn't actually that representative of what I listen to... After the top ten there is are only 3 more Guster songs in my top 25, but they are (clearly) my favorite band. However, there is a lot more variety in the rest of the top 25.

I would go nuts if I lost all my playcounts (or maybe even worse: my ratings), again... (all was reset in Nov 2003, when I migrated to my current iBook, and actually forgot to back up the iTunes library file... :o)

Neither, I just didn't bother to back up the library file. I didn't make a conscious decision to wipe the play counts, I just didn't bother to keep them.

I totally agree!

In the end though, I got the girl.

Plus, the situation wasn't as bad as the song.

Right now it's "Angel of death" by Slayer. Closely followed by "3 Feet deep (like a dead midget)" by DJ Format & Abdominal.

The Guster album "Keep it Together" has been on very high rotation for some time now, it is a GREAT album. I also have the live album which is pretty decent, but I have yet to check out their older albums. Recently, the new Ben Harper & The Blind Boys of Alabama CD has been dominating airtime and may take over the entire top ten if it keeps going the way it has been for me.

Those are both awesome albums... That BH & BBA album dominated my airtime for a while too. I think I'm starting to get over the Bright Eyes hump too now, and Devendra Banhart has started dominating my airtime.

Yeah, "Keep it Together" is a great album... My favorite album by guster is either KiT or their first album, "Parachute," which I just got recently and have been listening to way to much...

I also have downloaded a lot of their live stuff from archive.org and have downloaded the live albums from iTunes (and I own the cd/dvd set for Guster on Ice: Live in Maine).

I seriously listen to them more than I should, but I really like them. Ben Harper is great, too... My two sisters listen to him more than I do, though.

Here's my top ten from my iPod... I've had since Jan 10th 2004 so I actually have some playcount numbers....

Harder to Breathe-Maroon 5, 174
White Houses-Vanessa Carlton, 170
This Love-Maroon 5, 155
Mr. Brightside-The Killers, 154
Qui-Gon and Darth Mual Meet-John Williams, 145
She Will Be Loved-Maroon 5, 142
Somebody Told Me-The Killers, 135
My Happy Ending-Avril Lavigne, 126
A Thousand Miles-Vanessa Carlton, 125
Autobiography-Ashlee Simpson, 120

Another note- me and my brother listen to the same iPod so his interests are also reflected. The John Williams song may seem out of place but I have been obsessed with my playcount for some time now and Autobiography used to be #2 and there was no way I would let be #1. At the time, that John Williams song was #1 so I sort of forced myslef to listen to it just to keep Ashlee Simpson at bay. Has anyone else changed how they listen to music becuase of their playcounter?
