So, I am thinking about renting a movie from the iTunes store, but I'm confused.
Some of them say "rent movie" and some say "view movie" with no button to rent.

What does that mean?
Surely they don't offer free movies

The "View" movie link means its not yet available in your area. You can only find information about it, not rent or buy it.

The "View" movie link means its not yet available in your area. You can only find information about it, not rent or buy it.
I think that it is this way:

BUY MOVIE button --> Purchase the movie by clicking on the button.

RENT MOVIE button --> Rent movie by clicking on the button.

No button, with the View Movie link --> Click on the movie icon/picture or View Movie link, then you can buy or rent the movie.

You would think it would say "not yet available" instead of "view movie"

View movie seems to imply, you know, watching the movie

I take it back, partially. You can have a choice on some listed as view. But, I have also seen movie listings that were posted, but unavailable.

No no, 'View Movie' means it is available for both rental and purchase. Click on the movie itself and both options will appear.
