In the new message window when I type in a letter I get a list of e mail addresses starting with that letter. Included in the list are also addresses that are not in my address book, where can i find where these addresses are stored to delete them?

are they addresses you've sent emails to in the past?

Go to window and select previous recipients. You can then remove addresses from the list.
