DVD with no menu and in continuous loop

Having a real problem with this one.
I need to make a DVD, to play on any 'normal' DVD player.
It has to launch straight away into the movie, and it has to loop continuously.
So no menu's and continuous playing.

From iMovie there seems to be only an option to export to iDVD, and iDVD insists on making a menu.

So...
1. Is there a way of making iDVD not use a menu?
2. Can I make an mpeg-4 or whatever is needed and put it straight into a VIDEO-TS (or whatever the folder is called) and burn it to a DVD disc?
3. Is there a way of exporting straight from iMovie to a DVD?

I'm gradually getting my head around Final Cut Express, but even that doesn't seem to export to DVD.

Please help as this thing has to be shown in an art gallery very soon now.

If you have DVD Studio Pro, it's very simple to do what you want there.

You can do this in the normal iDVD app, simply choose 'OneStep DVD from Movie' in the File menu and select your file. It won't have any menu, and will play as a single movie from start to finish, looping until it’s stopped or ejected. :)

Do you know if there's a way to go one step further, and create a disk image instead of a DVD? OK, so it flies against the whole idea of a "one-step DVD" (duh!) but it would be quite useful, as I've found that disk burning directly from iDVD sometimes fails ...

Hey, I can answer my own question! I was just fooling around with iDVD just now, thinking "I wonder if they ..." and, hey presto, they did! Man, I LOVE APPLE sometimes.

All you do, to make a disk image of a movie, with no menus at all, is hold down the Option key whilst selecting "One Step DVD from Movie". When you've chosen your movie file the system then automatically lets you save it as a ".img". Fantastic!

I had to do this for my video (but still needed a beginning title screen)

So after you import your video onto the main menu, all you have to do is single click the video link (to highlight it but not start the video) and then click ADVANCED and select LOOP VIDEO

Its that easy, hope this helps! :)
