I've got a drive in my iMac G5 that I'd like to put into an external enclosure instead. Would I just need a 3.5" SATA enclosure or should I be looking for something more specific?
Thanks

Any SATA-based external enclosure should work.
Here are two I like:
Icy Dock USB/FW400 @ $45 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817198004)
Icy Dock USB/FW800 @ $80 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817198006)

hi. i am in the same situation as "bpl323", i have a g5 imac and i'm trying to salvage the harddrive and turn it into an external HD to backup my intel imac.
Does anyone know if an intel imac would recognize a g5 imac hardrive?
I dont really want to buy an enclosure if my computer wont recognize the HD...
thx

Any 3.5" Drive enclosures will work, FW or USB. :)
