I recently installed 2gb of crucial ram in my 1.83 CD macbook. and now when I boot it up it skips the Power On Self Test (POST) ...that chime that sounds when you turn your computer on...

Should I worry about this, or should I just sit happy knowing that I got a good deal on my ram.

you're just missing the "Chime" sound when you turn your machine on?

i don't know how this is ever disabled other than the machine being muted/volume all the way off before a reboot.
