Rented movies wont transfer.

I downloaded a rented movie over 2 weeks ago and my friends and I decided to watch it after dinner. I tried to transfer the rented movie to my apple tv but it said that my apple tv could not connect to the itunes music store. I found that strange since both my apple tv and my laptop are updated to the latest version on there relative software. Youtube also works but i cant get the rented movies to transfer.

Does anyone know what the problem is and if there is anything i could do about it?

Try checking the account settings on the AppleTV. AppleTV has to be able to log in to the iTunes Store to authorize the rental made from your computer over the same account. Youtube and your own non-protected content still work presumably because they do not need to communicate with iTunes Music Store.

I got it to work, i changed the apple tv with a new one i had. I will try to figure what was wrong and will post back here if i found out.
