View Full Version : CS3 Student Edition-Watermarking?

I'm hoping to get Design Premium CS3 on a Student License soon. However, I was talking to a friend, and he claims that everything is watermarked when you export it. Is this true?

I've Googled but haven't really found anything, so I though it'd be better to ask you guys. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using CS3 DP with a student license and have not seen any watermarks, so I am going to have to say that it is not true.

i have the web one and water marks. I think it cheaper because you can not upgrade to CS4 when it comes out you have to buy the new version...

It's very much the full package - no watermarks.

The student licence is not upgradeable and you're not allowed to use the software for commercial purposes, i.e you can't make money from it!

though to be honest adobe make far too much money to care about students moonlighting using the CS3 suite.

Actually you can upgrade the academic version, and I believe there are no restrictions on what you use the suite for (i.e. paid projects) as long as you were qualified to buy the academic license at the time of purchase.

Yeah, unfortunately apple is more restrictive in their academic licenses than adobe.

Not seen any watermarks either. I use the Student Version of CS3 Master Collection at home and Education Version of CS3 Web Collection at work (I work for a university) and neither have watermarks

I agree with this 100%. I own CS3 Design Premium Educational version.

student versions of 3d programs are the only ones Ive heard of that use watermarks, but then again those are also free. Adobe cant charge $250 for a program that puts watermarks on everything.

Also they've changed the restrictions to where if you buy the educational version and then graduate you can use the educational version for profit.
