Now that i have installer on my 1.1.1 ipod can i update my ipod to 1.1.4 to get the other applications on installer:confused:

Restore to 1.1.4 and then jailbreak (I prefer iLiberty).

But there are other options:
ziphone
iliberty
pwntool (mac)
winpwn (win)

though all are free, dont get tricked into paying for anything!
