Anyone have a record player and is able to get it to play out of their JBL Creatures speakers through their pic? If so how?

The problem with most turntables and record players is that they require a phono preamp to amplify the signal and apply the RIAA compensation curve (all vinyl is recorded with an exaggerated EQ curve, and the inverse curve is applied by the phono preamp).
So either find a turntable with a preampo built in and line outs (fairly rare) or put the signal through the Phono inputs of a stereo receiver first, and hook the line outs of the receiver to the PC, or use a standalone phono preamp between the turntable and the PC or the powered speakers.

OK -- turntables can't plug in directly to Macs or into powered speakers.
You need a preamp -- the easiest way is to plug the turntable into a home stereo, and then go from some line outs (like the Tape Record Outs) of the stereo into a Mac.
