Our pastor today spoke about Ernest Gordon, a POW in WWII, he was on the theology staff at Princeton. His book "To End All Wars" was written to tell the true story about the prison camp at the River Kwai. A story about the will to survive and the courage to forgive. A major motion picture is coming out staring Kiefer Sutherland.
He woke up realizing that he was at the death house. It became a religious experience. They had religious services. They became the walking dead, just skin and bones. When they were rescused by the allies, they stool before their captors to prevent them being killed. They had already forgiven the cruelty.
