Another thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=475630&highlight=ibares) mentioned a tool called iBaReS (http://www.google.com/group/ibares/web/ibares---homepage), or iPhone Backup and Restore Solution (MacOS only). This is supposed to allow you to backup/restore your jailbroken iPhone/iPod Touch, including all apps and settings.
This is actually "just" a nice wrapper around scp, allowing people with little or no unix experience to backup/restore easily their devices, and therefore looks like a must-have app for any Mac user.
What I'd like to know is, has anyone successfully restored their device with this tool?
