This is a bit odd....
I cant get a capital "Z" by pushing shift, i get it if i push caps lock.....the shift key works for all ( as far as i can see) keys on the keyboard, but not the Z ....
Pushing the shift and z just makes a little squeak.......dunno how long this has been going on.......i guess i dont use the capital Z very much.......any ideas ?

Clearly your neglect of the "z" key has caused it to die of malnutrition. You should feel thoroughly ashamed.

It looks like you'll have to take it in for repairs. Or you could by an external Apple keyboard for it.

The 2 things i dont want to do..........
But now i think on.....my machine did go in for a replacement fan about 2 months ago.....so perhaps the keyboard has not been replaced proppely or damaged during the re assembly of the machine.....i will call my Apple service provider and ask them......
But to be honest i dont want to be seperated from my Mac again...and its a long trek to the Apple shop frm here.......at least he snows melted now...just replaced by flooding.......

This was for the non-responsive key problem that sometimes occurred after a MacBook was unattended for a while.

Connect an external keyboard and see if the problem persists.
