how do i copy a LEGAL dvd?

i have a DVD of footage from a Focus group that i want to copy. when i open the actual DVD file, i find a bunch of *.bup, *.ifo, and *.vob files. How can i safely extract them and burn them to a new DVD? i tried using mactheripper but when i copied the files, they burned incorrectly (i get an error message when playing the DVD).

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try Handbrake?

You should try DVD Imager after you use MactheRipper. It has worked for me in the past...

I thought you meant a DVD about law 😛

Sounds like it's not a commercial DVD. Use Disk Utility to create a disk image of it, then burn that image to a blank DVD.

I use Popcorn by Roxio to burn the discs (bought it on eBay for $10).
