Hi, just wondering what anyones opinion would be as to how much potentially I could get for this computer (I have been told by the shop I was going to trade it in that its wort $700 CAD). Here are the specs:

White macbook
Leopard
ilife 08
combo drive
1.83 ghz core duo
160 gb hd
2 gb ram
(plus everything else that comes standard on the macbook - bluetooth, 802.11b/g, etc.)

Thanks,
Dan

You'd get $700 for that laptop? That's a 2 year old model, isn't it?

From observation here and elsewhere, I have noticed that Mac resale values plunge faster than they used to when they still used G3, G4, and G5s. The MacBooks have the lowest resale value for a Mac I have ever seen. Anyway, sounds like an OK deal, but it really depends on how much you spent on the laptop all together.

I think you should jump on $700 for a core duo. Now if it was a core 2 duo, $700 is less than fair.

Sorry..."price check" threads are limited to the Marketplace forum, and you do not have enough posts to qualify to start a thread there. We've had too many of these types of threads quickly turn into "for sale" threads.
