Dock is on my external monitor, menu bar on my laptop?

When using an external monitor in addition to my PB monitor, I can easily move the menu bar around via preferences, but the dock is alway on the external monitor. Since I'm using the PB screen as my main monitor, I'd like to have both dock and menu bar there. Any ideas on how to make this happen?
 
Side by side. I've never even tried vertical 😱. Just tried dual monitors for the first time, actually. I love it, but wish I could have my dock on my main (PB) screen.

Edit/update: It worked, thanks. I put the external on top of the PB screen, and my dock magically came back where I wanted it.
