Hey guys,

I use my Macbook Pro (with 2.5ghz penryn etc.) to play Counter-Strike 1.6 using bootcamp every once in a while.

I would like to play with a maximum of 75 fps (max for TFT screens from what I know) but I cant go any higher then 59 hz (given options are 59 & 60 hz)) in the Windows options (or in the Nvidea options).

I am playing on an external Acer AL1917 (19 inch). Is it possible to bring up the hertz to 75 without doing any harm to the regular screen?

Another issue I am dealing with is the screen resolution. Right now I can only use either one of the screens because of the resolution (I have to scroll on the mbp screen).

Hopefully somebody can help me / understand the problem I described above. I apologize for my English - I know its not very good (I am working on it).

- Julian

Your English is actually very good!

Anyway, LCDs aren't generally designed to run at more than 60hz. I believe i tried to use my LCD on 75hz once, and the colors became all garbled and there were wavy lines all across it.

So, in short, you really can't do that. there may be high-cost LCDs that can do 60hz, but it's probably not even wort it anyway.

You can play @ more than 75 FPS, just turn off v-sync. It does nothing good anyway...
