Thinking of getting a light for my Sony HC1 - The Paglight C6 looks like a good contender - Anyone had any experience of these or maybe able to suggest a better alternative?

Try LED-Z Its WAY better but needs a power source.http://www.led-z.com/
I recommend the Tekkeon 3450 Battery if you can get it over there.

Just checked them out - cool looking light - couldn't see at a glance if it mounted via an on camera shoe or if it required a separate mounting source though.

I may well consider this as an option though - It says it doesn't need barn doors etc - I know the Paglight comes with these and a couple of filters and a way of mounting some diffusers / filters on the barn doors - not sure if this is a big issue for me - just interesting that the LEDz doesn't seem to offer this option.

Thanks for the advice.

I've got the Paglight and I love it. Sooo lightweight. Compared to the Sony beast my boss uses. Battery life is down to about 2 hours now though. But it is getting older so thats to be expected.

If you ask them, they'll fit the light with a shoe-mountable adapter. I made mine up from parts procured at B&H Photo Video in NYC.
