installing app requires IP address but I have no wifi?

I have no wifi on my ipod and I am trying to install a app using independence and ask me for root password and ip address? So what do I do if I have none?
 
What app are you trying to install?

Sorry, but it sounds to me like you're screwed.
 
Use ZiPhone to jailbreak, then get the iPhoneBrowser (google it... it's there). Do some more googling to find the apps you want (they should be in an 'Application.app' folder. Then put them in the /Applications/ folder on you iPod using iPhoneBrowser.
