Hi, I'm a total newbie to windows on Mac thing.
I've just had a major problem.

I have the new iMac. I loaded Bootcamp, I select 10gb for
the partition part of the hard drive for Windows. It said
insert windows xp cd, I do so. Then when it loads up it
says it is going to use 131070mb. Without checking how
many gigabytes this means, I clicked yes, as it was the only
one of the screen to select. Now I realized I've just
partitioned 127gb of my harddrive to MsWindows.
What do I do????

I've been told that if you readjust the partition or delete
Windows the setup of the partition you lose all the memory
you partitioned or it can seriously damage your Mac.
Is this true?

ARGHHHH, I hate Microsoft Windows so much right now.

Please, advise and help!!

Can you get to OS X? It seems as though you've deleted your OS X partition.

What do you mean deleted Mac OSX???

I have 320gb hard drive.

I have the Mac OSX Cd, I put it in instead of the Ms Windows
and it loads up and asks what hard drive I want to install, but,
there is no hard drive to choose!!

What he means is that you may have overwritten the Mac OS partition table.

Boot off of the Mac OS DVD, select English and then stop there.
Under the Utilities Menu, select "Disk Utility".

You should see at the least the internal drive. See if you have volumes underneath it (Windows and Mac volumes). If not you may have to start again and reformat the drive prior to re-installing Mac OS.

Thank you for the help guys. I really appreciate it!
I managed to reboot with OsX Cd and erase the drive and
install OsX again. I've lost my music now... but I do have back ups.

Thanks again! =)
