hey i was wondering if anyone has done the icolours decal mod on the newest update of the mbp. are/were there any differences in the disassembling method as shown on the icolours.ca website? the site seems a little outdated...
i was thinking of doing this mod myself as it seems pretty awesome. :D

I ordered and received a three pack of mods to use. Attempted it on my macbook pro but have chickened out. I was trying to pry the lid off and was applied too much force and got scared.

I hate you. Just kidding.
I'm usually pretty adventurous with stuff like this but I'd freak if I killed my display or scratched it up. I ended up finding a guy through this site that sold stickers so I'm gonna try that.
Unless I can ship my macbook pro to you in London? ha ha

Wow, that's pretty cool. Does the backlight on the apple logo still light up ?
Is there a tutorial on the steps you followed?

If you're using the icolours inserts, the light does shine through.
icolours.ca has instructions posted for each model mac but, in my opinion, I didn't find them to be incredibly detailed and the photos were rather small. At least for the macbook pro they were.

it seems like a cool way to customize your mac, but i could not dare myself to pull it apart to that extent.

you are not modifying your lcd in ANY way it is a acrylic that you lay over the apple logo on the inside of the top lid :D
