I'm thinking of upgrading a iMac G5 to one of the new 24" models (probably 2.8GHz unless someone has a good argument for spending the extra £100 or so to upgrade to 3.06GHz).
There are a few posts on the internet that I've found about the ATI 2600 card being as fast or faster than the NVIDIA 8800 card - but that was talking about Mac Pro cards, not iMac versions.
Has anyone got any experience of the two cards that the new iMacs are available with? I'm sure the NVIDIA card is much better for gaming, but can anyone tell a difference with Aperture (Core Image) stuff?
