Anyone up for a trade? I desperately need a larger screen and a dedicated graphics card. (not a gamer, for graphics software) Maybe you want a smaller and more portable Mac? How about a trade with an additional $300?
Macbook also for sale for $900 OBO +shipping.
White Macbook specs:
2.2 ghz SR Core 2 Duo
X3100 GPU
Leopard pre-installed
512MBx2 RAM
120GB HD
Will include:
Apple Remote
Leopard Discs
Power cord
Single battery
Crumpler bag.
Intuos2 Wacom Tablet.
Computer was purchased in March so still under original warranty. And eligible for Applecare.

I'd prefer a Merom chipset. Late 2006 model. Willing to pay more if necessary and the model is in good condition.
Uploaded screenshot of system specs. I'll do some pictures in the AM.

You might have better luck selling your MB, then buying the MBP separately (most people here probably wish to upgrade, rather than downgrade.)
I recently did this myself. I sold my MB on EBay which can be a hassle with fees, etc., but I definitely got more than I expected for it (1.83 CD, out of warranty but very good shape.)
I bought a 'scratch and dent' MBP here, due to the condition of the MBP
(not perfect but works 100%) I actually almost came out even. Like you, I needed a MBP basically for the GPU.

I'm at a point that I may just sell it and switch to PC. As much as I have loved OSX. It seems to have lots of problems. Delays in typing. Programs crashing randomly. Horrible video card drivers. Its sad really because I've come to love the software available on the mac otherwise. Drawit, Pixelmator, etc. Great clean applications.
But all the time I ran XP, Linux, etc. the only crashes I've had were rare and the OS only died when something went bad (ie. RAM) Anyway. Just a rant. Its been a hard experience for me so far and I'm saddened since I've always wanted an Apple computer.
With that I'm listing it for sale here for $900 OBO +shipping. They seem to go between $700-1100 on ebay.

No no. The system hasn't crashed. Just applications. And shush on the magic touch! Don't jinx me. I'm hoping to end up with a good apple experience still. I'm assuming the programs crashing are the fault of the programs. I've read Safari is notorious for crashing and Draw it is relatively new so perhaps its reasonable.
The buyer will receive the tablet in this deal as well.

I believe that's what I meant, just applications crashing in general. I've never had a full system crash.

For those wondering whether it came with OSX full install disks, maybe this picture answers that question.

Thanks I got offered the same thing by someone else, but after much thought I decided I enjoyed being portable. Their really isn't anything like sitting back on the couch and working.

Solution found. OSX Leopard won't install from a retail disk on some macbooks. Some sort of compatibility issue. A known issue from what I've read. joshwest went to a local Apple genius and they installed Leopard for him. All fixed. Not sure on the warranty issue yet. Maybe he can chime in on that.
All items shipped and everything should be received by Wednesday (5/21/08). joshwest was an excellent buyer. Very good at communicating. Would sell to him again.
