I am thinking of possibly selling my mini for the time being as I don't really need it and could use the cash for now.
It's a Core 2 Duo 1.83 Mini in absolutely pristine condition with original 1 year of applecare until January '09
I've been using it as a media center and it has been doing an amazing job running my LCD tv with 720p HD and even most other 1080 HD content from Apple and various sources like a breeze.
I also have a matching mini stack with 320gb of storage at 7200rpm with firewire and 4 extra USB ports and another few years left on that warranty.
I already upped the ram to 2gb although I know they can recognize up to 3.3
I have ALL the original packaging for the mini in perfect condition as well as the install discs and everything. It's running leopard and that is what all the discs are for as well.
I seem to think there was a change in policy about original discs on this site as well, but maybe i'm thinking of something else?
I have iwork 08 for it installed and registered all legal and nice, but I just bought it and got the registration number and registered the trial to a full version. As I don't use it otherwise really I'd include that with the mini as well, but I am not sure where the papers and such went or if I even got them. (if this isn't allowed i'll gladly delete it... but this is just a feeler)
I know you can get the refurb from the apple site for 469 (i think? maybe it's 499? i can't remember exactly and there aren't any right now) with tax included it's somewhere over 500, and with the extra drive and memory and original pretty box and all that (and iwork if this is allowed?) etc I'm thinking this is worth somewhere around 650 shipped in the CONUS?
Is this right? Should I look for more or less?
Advice is welcome. If i can get a good amount for it i will change this to a for sale.
I also have a nice 22 inch Acer LCD that matches the mini quite nicely. I've only used it about 10 times in the last year. It still retails for over 230 on buy.com and tiger direct and it's a nice monitor.
I'd be open to including that or maybe selling it separately for another 160 or so onto the price... if it will help. That would be one nice set up i think, but with the prices of imacs now it might not be worth it. Any thoughts on that would be good too.
