Just thought i'd share this with you all. The Sydney Morning Herald reposted an article on the iMac written at their introduction ten years ago (yesterday).

while the bold new iMac relies on dumb consumers who aren't going to notice the blaring screen bleeds and color casts.

Or the smart ass graphic designer who is more than happy with his new iMac and is much faster, light years quieter then the G4 PPC 1.25Ghz desktop I had previously!!!! :)

Who knew the "i" actually means something?
That was harsh.
Not harsh, just par for the course for the narcissistic obsessers around here who not only prattle endlessly about their chosen bugaboo, but can't grasp that what's important to them may not be of paramount importance to the rest of the known universe. Differing opinions or priorities are a foreign concept. It's not enough that there are multipage threads devoted to their obsession du jour, where they can be safely ignored while they vent with like minded souls to their hearts' content. Unfortunately, they also feel the need to pepper their pointless one liners randomly around other threads insulting those who don't happen to share their monomania.
Now this is harsh, so my apologies, but try as I might to ignore threads about gradients, glossy screens, or translucent menus, they make it impossible, and there's no thread for me to vent on.

I did. I have a imac g3 333mhz in my room right now along with panther discs but the cd drive is burnt out so no install:(.
