I've got some naughty software and I've heard that some software calls home. Okay, so what if they do? Can they really tattle on me? Can I really get into trouble? Do I need something like Little Snitch? And Little Snitch people does it really work or does it slow down your system? Thanks!
Dude, serious. You try it at Maclife and now you try it here? Seriously now. Just buy the software.

You really shouldn't bring topics here that involve piracy. Regardless, I'll answer your question about Little Snitch.
Little Snitch does work without slowing your system down. Little Snitch will intercept a connection before it's made and will allow you to allow or deny the connection. You can also set up rules for how it will handle similar connections in the future. It's an extremely useful security tool, especially if you suspect applications sending private information.
