Ending a listing early to sell to someone on eBay = absolute no-no?

Keep in mind, I'm selling a law school textbook, not some expensive gadget.

Someone sent me a message through eBay offering to give me $28 if I end my item early.

Should I take the offer?

I do it all the time if the person messages me and is alright with it...

but then again, I've been suspended from eBay 3 times

I've ended auctions early for ebayers with:

1. Lots of positive feedback
2. Very few, if any, negative feedback
3. Good communication
4. Ability to pay by a legitimate method
5. A great offer

I have NOT ended auctions early when
1. People asking say the need it because "they are going abroad in 3 days"
2. They have a spotty ebay feedback

Yeah, the person only has 1 feedback, so I rejected his offer.

I've only done it once and it played against me. I'd never do it again. Good choice, IMO.
