PURCHASED: 17" iMac CD or C2D

I am in the market for a 17" iMac either Core Duo or Core 2 Duo with an X1600 graphics card. Not fussed about RAM/HD/KBD/Mouse.

Just a curiosity... why is the crappy graphics card crucial and not RAM, the hard drive, or anything else?

All other things are upgradeable. Crappy or not, the X1600 is a lot better than the GMA950.
