it looks like a monitor on a CD drive on an upside-down plate.

with all the good industrial design hosues around, and all the willing students that could have entered a competition, how in the world did they come up with THAT? The old 1 piece presario looked better. The old Monorail PC looked better. It makes Sony's 1 piece fold down pc look sexy. It makes the iMac look that much MORE modern & progressive. I mean, its plastic, it can be almost anyshape they want.

Looks like R2-D2s cousin from the next star wars episode.

Not very impressive....and for a 'pro' machine at that.

I could understand not wanting it to look like an iMac, but there is so much they could do that would look so much better....

I'd rather buy one of the Purple Barney PC than that thing, and anything Barney related tends to get swiss cheesed around here. ;)

That's a pretty sorry machine.

And speaking of ugly, how about the Gateway Profile 5 versions of all-in-one PC's? They've probably been discussed here before but I saw a new magazine ad for one last night and it made me burst out laughing it was so ugly.

Forget about speed & features, who's winning the ugly race?

At least the mouse seems to plug into the keyboard, instead of running two cables from the keyboard/mouse to the computer. Just as Macs are moving from one cable to no cables, PC makers may finally be catching on to the wisdom of having one instead of two.

Besides the fact that they ript it of from the Imac, they also mention it! And what about the processorspeeds....

Yeah, That's pretty bad...

I suppose for it's intended purpose, it's okay. I think they're aiming for the POS (take your pick of meanings ;)) market. Small-ish, low power, no need for expansion. That's a market where looks don't matter at all. Except at the Apple stores of course :D

Product of sums? I didn't know there was a market for that. (It was hard not to be amused when my digital systems prof would term such equations as POS with a straiught face):D
