External HD with wireless & printer server ???

I'm looking for something like time capsule but one that I can use via firewire to use as a scratch disk.

I understand time capsule cant be used with imovie as its a network drive.

Anyone got a suggestion?

Must have
print server
firewire
wireless for normal operation and printing
500Gb or above

iPhoto DOES work with network drives - I have my iPhoto / Aperture libraries on network drives both at home and at work....
 
AEBS + ext. HD of your choosing + set sharing preferences to allow sharing of your external across your network.

Add a powered USB Hub and you can connect multiple external drives and a printer to the Airport Extreme Base Station (the new 11.n one)

True, but I think OP is hoping to find (but I don't believe exists) an external that can connect directly to his computer by FW but also be accessed as an NAS from other computers--simultaneously. I'm not sure such a beast exists. I was proposing to connect the external directly by firewire but then share it over the network created with an AEBS, which can also serve printers.

I'm working on a mac book pro + my son has a laptop hence the preference for wireless.
