New email alert sound and external speaker

so, im not looking to play my music over the itouch's internal speaker... But wouldnt it be nice if it could somehow 'bleep' when i get a new email? A sound plays over headphones, but i dont always have headphones in. I would think it might be fairly easy to allow that sound to be played internally, or another sound to be played. Anyone have any ideas?

only thing you can do is just have it hucked up to a pair of speakers, maybe get an ipod speaker? there seems to be plenty out nowdays.

I've always wished since buying that the ipod had external speakers it would be a nice addition for future model
