Hey guys
thanks for reading this post.
I recently just bought a 15"AlBook and I want to know what the best way for me to watch actually cable tv on it is. Will I need a PCMCIA card? Is there an input?
Let me know.
Thanks
Alex

EyeTV seems to be a popular solution

It's a bit expensive...but it works.
I'm at college and tv comes through ethernet, I like it that way, less to connect

just get yourself a cheap Wal-mart TV. Better picture, you get a remote, etc etc...
I know it's tempting because there's the gadget factor, but watching TV through your Mac is just not worth it. Both value- and quality-wise.

why would it be worse quality??? surely the PB screen is a better resolution, so wouldn't you be getting Hi Def type images???

The problem is that since the Mac is a better resolution, the tv signal (lower res?) makes it pretty pixelated. I have eyeTV, and it's great for casual watching. But watching on a TV is much clearer.
