Yes, It is me again. The child who came up with the very much disliked Profile Page Idea
Well I have another unorthodox way for macrumors user to communicate, KILL THE IRC CHAT.
The average user has no idea how to work it anyways... perhaps we could have something like they icompostions.com?

No idea? Just download the client how hard can it get? No one uses it, though.

Please, god... do not make it any easier for idiots to get in. There is already a great selction of super-easy clients out there. All that is "difficult" about IRC is figuring out the channel modes and commands dealing with the moderation of a channel--unimportant because the average IRC n00b will NOT be in control of #macrumors.
IRC is a standard, and an established one, that has a variety of levels on the learning curve depending how far you want to get "into" it. If you just want to chat, it's as simple as getting a client (or finding a web-based one), as there are dozens/hundreds, and plugging in a couple of pieces of text. It's harder than that to start a MacRumors forums account and post!
