Hi, I'm planning on purchasing a 42" LCD TV and would like to hook it up with my Mini. I'm currently leaning towards for; Video Output: DVi to HDMI from my Mini to the TV. As far as I know I'll need to output Audio via the Microphone Jack as a DVi to HDMI doesn't carry Audio. I'm not sure as to what type of Audio cable to go for in order to achieve the best quality. I'm currently using a regular 3.5mm - Male to Male connector and the output isn't really that great. Any suggestions to alternatives? Thanks in advance!

The best is to use an optical cable (Toslink) with a mini plug on one end. Connect it to any receiver with an optical input and you'll have digital audio.

Yep, optical audio is the best you'll get out of the Mini.
