Network fails during screensaver

Hi,

Is it normal that during the screensaver, the network connections fail?
I was downloading through BitTorrent all of yesterday night, only to wake up and find nothing downloaded! I put the display to sleep using a hot corner and my MBP is set to never put the computer to sleep in the Energy Saver..

I'm using 10.5.2 and a MBP 2.2 GHz (last year model)

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

One more thing.. I'm using a wireless connection to a Time Capsule..
