View Full Version : Advice needed - replacing Dlink router with Time Capsule?

Here is what I would like to do and why -

I was told the speed and features of Time Capsule/Apple Airport N routers are faster and better than other routers out there such as D-Link. I own a DGL-4100 wired which I thought was really good since it was not cheap. However, I am considering using the Time Capsule in it's place if it is indeed better performance and features.

I want to continue to use my Linksys 54G wireless and leave it as a dedicated B/G router for all my B/G devices and Time Capsule as "N" dedicated so it won't slow down the network speed when a B/G device is in use. So, I will have both the Time Capsule and Linksys in place running as described above.

So, any feedback on if this sounds good and rather or not I should keep or replace the D-Link router with the Time Capsule or just put Time Capsule in the chain as well would be appreciated.

Yup, dump the DLink and just use the Linksys and TC.

I'm doing that now...
