I live in a campus residence with wifi that requires you to login everytime we connect, which means my Nintendo DS can not connect online. I was thinking of purchasing a airport express so that my mac mini could share the wireless connection via ethernet to the express. Then I could connect the DS to the airport express and have have online play, right? Also, would that mac mini be able to use its airtunes option?

Secondly, besides a cleaner signal, is there any other advantage to use an optical cable over a minijack to rca for connecting the airport express to my sound system?
