i need to record my class reviews straight to my harddrive. i have a titanium powerbook.

i don't want to spend any money.

i want to use the built in mic and record the instructor in quicktime files.

what program can i use to do this simply and easy?

what steps?

thanks

Anybody know how to convert the audio on a music DVD concert you own into MP3 format on the mac?

I'd love to have Cream's Farewell concert on MP3, as well as 24 nights.

looked around, apparently DVD to MP3 is illegal.

What the hell, I own the damn DVD, and I want to listen to it on my iPod. Is that so complicated?

I don't have it by me right now, but in the most recent Mac Addict there is an article on turning audio form DVDs into mp3s.

An easy way is to record the audio using Audio Hijack or Wiretap, then you can edit it and convert it to your heart's content.

Another vote for Sound Studio. It can do it all with ease.

Reaper or Audacity would work as well.
(Just so you know, this technically should be posted in the recording (digital audio)forum, not the music forum)
