Can't connect XP laptop to airport network

I can't get a PC laptop running XP Pro SP2 to connect to my Airport Extreme network, it says that the network has gone out of range. I am using WPA2 PSK encryption. Everything works just fine on another XP Pro laptop and it used to work on this laptop. Any ideas?

don't use WPA2 PSK use WEP or WPA2 AKES when using windows

Have you installed the WPA2 Hotfix for XP? I've been reading that some people need to do that to fix that error.

It's a work laptop, so I can't install anything or run any updates that the IT department hasn't "graced".
