I just bought a used Powerbook G3. How can I determine if it is wireless ready? Or are they all? Also, I still need to get an AirPort Base right even if it is wireless ready?

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=24604 will show you how to identify which machine you have, and you can look at the specifications for your model
http://www.info.apple.com/support/applespec.html

Under ports, it'll say "Airport Ready: Yes" where you can get an Apple branded card, or "Airport Ready: Third Party" where you can get an Orinoco card (I use a "Silver" card with my pre-G3 powerbook 1400)

You will still need a basestation or another machine set up with a card to serve as a basestation, as your cablemodem/adsl/etc doesn't just automatically do wireless.
