I recently bought my Mac Pro and will be using it in college next year. Any advice on how to protect it against theft?? I'm not really familiar with what is out there. I know there is low jack.... not sure how it works... Also are there locks to physically lock it up?
... I meant to put this in the MBP forum..... i own a mac book pro not a mac book.... sorry

If you have a MBP, then yes, there is a lock slot.

Get one of these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2030260319+1276817105&Configurator=&Subcategory=319&description=&Ntk=&srchInDesc=) locks to bolt down your Macbook.
You could also just keep a vicious dog locked in a room with your Macbook:D.

If you can put it into something that's lockable, that's probably best. The "kensington" style locks often aren't very good. I think I managed to unlock mine without needing the combination or breaking the lock.
