pioneer, sony, idvd...

I know that this has been discussed, but I'm just trying to find advice from experienced users with similar computers...

I have a Powermac DP G4 1.25 with a combo drive. I am looking to buy an internal dvd-r and would like it to be compadible with idvd (which for some reason came on my computer when I bought it - refurbished from apple).

I need to know exactly what models of dvd recordable drives are truley compadible with my Powermac and idvd...

Also, just curious, if you add any internal devices (dvd drive, video card, etc.) does that void the 1 year apple warranty???

the pioneer works great....and the new one is the a106 is both + and - dvd and its only 169 at compusa...and it works....
