This thing:

http://www.chocolatebuttons.co.uk/images/cbuttons/sweets_expand/chocolate/caramac.jpg

Except you have to go back in time about twenty years to get it. :(

The Caramac bar still exists, but like most candy bars today, the recipe and the taste has changed drastically (for the worse), as the company changed hands over the years. It's even a different colour nowadays.

Total shame that kids today have no idea how most of the more popular candy bars used to taste. This is true of almost any candy bar you can mention. They taste like they are full of wax, grease and cotton seed oil or something ... oh, wait a minute, they are!

;)

I usually like good dark chocolate, but recently I am totally obsessed with this.

http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb17/dornacher95/My%20Personal%20Reviews/ReesesWhipps001.jpg

It's sort of a cross between Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Three Musketeers -- it has the same general form as a Three Musketeers bar, but it has a layer of peanut butter in between the chocolate and the confection, and I think the confection is also a chocolate/peanut butter flavor.

It sounds a little strange, but I really like them. :)

to those who posted Lindt Chocolate: they are by far the best chocolate, now i want some.

If you think lindt is the best then you *need* to travel europe some time to sample what's available. IMO lindt chocolate is a bit meh, it's certainly better than crappy hydrogenated oil filled rubbish, just as proper chocolate goes it's bottom of the barrel.

Personally I don't particularly care for sweet things bar very occasionally, when I do indulge my tastes tend to be obscure and unfortunately expensive.

I will tell you the worst tasting candy ever (some of you yanks will freak)...

Hersheys!

When I went to NY my mate bought a load of Hershey chocolate bars. He gave me one I chomped down on it and promptly launched the bar across the hotel lobby while simultaneously regurgitating onto on the table in the lounge.

It tasted like puke, and I mean literally... like puke! I thought it was a joke bar or something. I spent the rest of the day drinking water trying to get the after taste out of my mouth.

My fave sweets?

Probably Starburst/Opal Fruits, Fruit Pastels and umm... Haribo? Them big bags that are £1 in shops, £2 in garages and 70p in WH Smiths :D

As far as chocolate goes Lindor is the king of my castle. I have had better abroad but when Homebuys sells tons of the stuff for a few quid then yummm. Thorntons is quite nice too, especially their vienesse truffles. At the moment we've got some Polish Mars bars. The outer chocolate feels crispier and the caramel is softer. Bloody beautiful things!

And Pocky  my girlfriend got me hooked on these.

Pocky is amazing, you're right.

I'm a huge mochi fan. For those who don't know, it can take several forms, but it's generally got sweet red bean paste in the middle with a rice dough outside.

Do you really like Mochi over other things? I think it's OK...

Maybe you like なっと too? ;)

To be honest, I do! I don't like stuff to be too sweet. I can get used to that, but ultimately it's not healthy to have too much sugar. I love mochi with red bean paste in the center... it's a relatively healthy way to eat junk food (yeah, I know, the mochi itself is full of calories).

As for 納豆(なっとう), I am neutral . I could live with it, or without it... doesn't matter to me. Which means, I never go out of my way to buy it, so I don't eat it much. If I do eat it, I prefer it plain.
