iMac IrdA port

I love that my Bondi Blue iMac has an infrared port in the front, but ever since 10.2 it's been non-functional. Does anyone know if there's anyway to activate it in 10.3?

What do you use it for?

it should be in your network configuration, tryl ooking there first in system prefs.

I use it to sync my palm and my infrared remote control. When I go to network in system prefs in 10 the irda port is greyed out.
